Our Deep Dive

  • Ambiance & Aesthetics: The Spin departs from the typical minimalist aesthetic of many modern coffee shops. Instead, it boasts a homey, warm and inviting atmosphere with colorful decor and a curated collection of vinyl records lining the back walls in a sense of organized chaos. The space is well-lit, featuring ample tables, benches, and comfortable lounge-like furniture including sofas and coffee tables, creating a relaxed and inviting atmosphere.
  • Amenities:
    • Food & Drink: The Spin offers a thoughtful menu of high-quality coffee beverages, from classic espresso to creative cold brews. Prices are very reasonable considering today’s coffee shop costs. During our visit, we enjoyed a French Vanilla Latte and a Dirty Chai Latte, both of which were expertly prepared. The attentive staff even brings your orders directly to your table, enhancing the overall experience. Plus, the food menu extends beyond typical coffee shop pastries, offering unique options like Uncrustables and a banging cereal bar that will remind Millennials of the Saturday morning staple that our country promised our parents were part of a “balanced breakfast”. They also feature dairy alternatives, a godsend for all the lactose-intolerant souls out there.
    • Workspaces: The cafe provides comfortable seating options, including plush armchairs, cozy booths, and a communal table. Reliable Wi-Fi and ample power outlets ensure a productive work environment.
    • The Vinyl: The coffee is great, but the real star of the show is the extensive and diverse vinyl collection. Customers can browse through a wide selection of new and used records at reasonable prices. The cafe also provides stacks of board games, such as Uno, Mancala, and Battleship, encouraging social interaction and friendly competition among patrons. During our visit, we enjoyed a lively game of Uno while observing a heated Mancala match at the neighboring table.

Nomad Review: Thoughts from a real customer and new friend of the Dallas Nomad

  • “Imagine having your morning joe while spinning some of the oldest vinyl. This coffee shop is very futuristic, plenty of games to enjoy with a friend. Also a cereal bar that may bring back some of those childhood memories. The coffee was great with no artificial sweeteners. P.S. parking was not so great but once you figure it out I promise Spin Coffee and Vinyl is worth a visit.”
