A fierce advocate for social justice and civic engagement, Marlissa uses her voice to not only inform but to empower communities, tackling critical issues ranging from politics and foreign affairs to culture and policy.

As co-founder and publisher of the Dallas Nomad, she remains committed to delivering high-quality, unbiased journalism that puts context back into the content and fosters a more informed citizenry. Marlissa’s journey is a testament to her dedication to excellence, with a diverse background that includes a B.S. in Engineering from California State University, Long Beach and MBA from Southern Methodist University.

A seasoned digger with a nose for trouble, Sam Judy is an award-winning investigative journalist who doesn’t shy away from the shadows. As co-founder and editor-in-chief of the Dallas Nomad, Sam has been a thorn in the side of the powerful, relentlessly pursuing truth in the face of opposition. From the tragic Dallas police killings of the Johnson brothers and the contentious Forward Dallas project, to exposing plans for a Cop City Dallas and covering systemic crackdowns of Pro-Palestinian campus encampments, Sam has fearlessly exposed corruption and injustice, leaving no stone unturned in his quest for answers.

His byline has graced the pages of esteemed publications like the Dallas Weekly, Dallas Free Press, and Word in Black, where his incisive reporting on issues ranging from police brutality to the suppression of Palestinian activism has earned him a reputation as a true modern-day watchdog of the city.

With a keen eye for detail and a passion for pushing creative boundaries, Nathan transforms our stories into immersive journeys that resonate deeply.

He is a Columbia College graduate and an award-winning visual and recording artist who brings a vibrant artistic touch to everything he does. A native son of Dallas, Nathan infuses his work with an authentic understanding of the city, ensuring our stories resonate with the people.

An early believer in the Dallas Nomad’s vision, Mary Moore is the Dallas Nomad’s the steady hand, guiding the team towards its mission. With over 15 years of experience navigating the complex world of finance at titans like Bank of America and Ally Bank, Mary brings a unique blend of financial acumen and operational expertise to the team. As the “Guardian of the Mission,” she ensures that the operations run smoothly and efficiently, allowing our journalists and storytellers to focus on what they do best – informing the public, uncovering truth and holding the powerful accountable.

Alicia Wilson (she/her): Director of Partnerships & Collaborations

The Alchemist

Alicia Wilson joins the Dallas Nomad as a force of connection, serving as Head of Partnerships & Collaborations, tasked with keeping the Nomad in the loop and connected to strategic and content partners while simultaneously pursuing her own compelling journalistic path. Alicia’s content uniquely delves into the fascinating intersections of beauty, history, race, and policy, uncovering the untold stories that lie beneath the surface. As the host of “Korner of the Kitchen”, a podcast that explores these very themes, Alicia brings a unique perspective and a deep understanding of the cultural and political significance of the beauty industry.
